Even from an early age I was brought up with natural ways of managing my health, through helping to grow my own fruit and veg, foraging, being outdoors etc. To me it seemed a very normal way of life.
I now understand I was lucky to be able to grow up in this environment.
Taking ownership of our own health and wellbeing is a major part of our life. We can all do more, if we are honest with each other.
We are constantly bombarded with quick-fixes, however I strongly believe we should be taking responsibility that our health and wellbeing is a way of life.
I have a good understanding of the roller coaster ride people go through, their feelings, wishes and hopes of getting better. I can provide a listening ear, offer advice and treatments to suit the individual or simply a hug.
Support is a big part during recovery as well as understanding.
So why choose holistic therapies?
I understand we may all need medication at some point in our life and that there is a right time and place for it. That's ok. Holistic therapies and medication may well sit alongside and compliment each other.
It's up to each of us to assess what is the best way to manage our health and wellbeing.
I came to understand that I preferred natural treatments, addressing the root cause of the problem, without the side effects.
It's also a commitment of working on yourself, for yourself.
Whether it's as simple as taking an hour for yourself to relax and recharge or a step towards working on getting better during your recovery.
I'm here to offer a helping hand if you need it, providing you with the advice and tools you need to get better.
And if I can't help, I might know someone who can.
